Kris Penick
For over two decades in the hospitality and wine industry in California, Kris Penick has shared her love and knowledge of California’s Central Coast lifestyle with guests and visitors to the area. She has utilized her education in Foods and Nutrition, combined with her experience and training in the wine industry to create programs that unveil the flavors of this unique area.
As a former director of public relations for a California winery, Kris has developed wine education and tour programs, trained winery hospitality staff, and represented her wine region at a multitude of industry and consumer events. She launched an ambitious educational wine program, the Paso Robles Wine University, and has overseen events for wine associations and commercial wine competitions.
Her enthusiasm for the wine, food and the beauty of the Central Coast is evident as she shares these experiences with visitors. Kris is extremely creative and designs many diverse experiences for groups small and large. Associations and corporations such as the San Luis Vintners Association, Paso Robles Vintners Association, California State University Fresno Enology & Viticulture Department, Central Coast Wine Competition, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Genencor, ACE Westchester Specialty Group, and Pfizer have benefited from her expertise and skills in planning just the right event for each individual group.
Kris is a home chef and enjoys entertaining her family and friends in her gourmet kitchen. She also finds time to serve in professional organizations such as Meeting Planners International (MPI), Association Destination Management Professionals (ADME), and Visitors and Conference Bureaus. She has been awarded the CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation. As the founder and president of her destination management company, Reserve Events & Destination, Kris welcomes groups of all sizes and interests to the Central Coast of California.
